git at ABE-PM

Last night’s ABE Perl Mongers’ meeting was fun; rjbs set up git on a virtual machine on his Macbook and we hacked an IRC game he has been working on. The purpose of the meeting wasn’t to hack the game (which was fun and reading rjbs’ code is usually enlightening) but to show off git. I’ve played with git in the past but this is the first time I used it in conjunction with other people hacking the same code. I really like it; it has a better feel to it than CVS or Subversion.

Now, if we can only get rjbs to explain what all that POE and Moose stuff was in his code. :-)
